Laying and Wiring of Electrical Circuits
1 When explosive gases and vapors are heavier than air, electrical lines should be laid or buried underground. Cable bridges should be used when laying overhead. When the cable trench is laid, it should be filled with sand and an effective drainage measure should be set up;
2 When the gas and vapor are lighter than air, the electrical line should be laid at a lower place or laid with a cable trench.
3 Channels for the laying of electrical lines, steel pipes or cables, shall be tightly blocked with non-combustible materials when passing through holes in walls or floors between different areas. The cable channel can be cut off by sand filling.
Electrical connection
Electrical lines cannot be directly connected in principle. When connection or end-of-pipe must be carried out, crimping, welding or brazing should be used to ensure good contact and prevent local overheating. The connection between the line and the electrical equipment should use appropriate transition joints, especially when Copper and aluminum are connected.
Laying of electrical lines
Electrical wiring should generally be laid in a less hazardous environment or away from sources where flammable or explosive materials are released, or laid outside the walls of buildings or structures.
Wire material
For the wiring work in explosion hazardous environments, copper-core insulated conductors or cables should be used instead of aluminum.
5. Conductor allowable current
The allowable ampacity of insulated wires and cables shall not be less than 1.25 times the rated current of the fuse melt and 1.25 times the setting current of the automatic switch long time delay overcurrent release.
