The car, called Strati, was manufactured by Local Motors of Arizona in the 6-day 2014 International Manufacturing Technology Exhibition through 3D printing technology. It took 44 hours to print parts and assembly. It has only 40 parts, and more than 20,000 traditional auto parts.
The Strati has a top speed of 56 km/h and the battery can support 193 to 243 km. Both the chassis and the body use components made of giant printers, but tires, seats, steering wheels, batteries, wires, suspensions, electric motors, and shielding windows are all manufactured in a conventional manner.
