Recently, the Shaoyang Longhui Kaidi Biomass Power Plant in Hunan Province broke ground. After the completion of the power plant, the main use of local agricultural and forestry waste straw, rice hulls and tree branches, etc. as fuel, the use of high-temperature high-temperature ultra-high pressure single pumping gas turbine generator unit for power generation and heating. Each year, about 230,000 tons of agricultural and forestry waste can be digested, equivalent to saving 83,000 tons of standard coal annually and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 180,000 tons. It can realize an annual output of 198 million kwh electricity, 520,000 tons of steam and 60,000 tons of ash, and an annual sales income of 150 million yuan.

Natural gas development also has good news. According to scientific exploration, shale gas prospective resources amounted to 11 trillion cubic meters in Hunan's Xiangxi and Dongting Lake areas, accounting for about 30% of the country's total reserves. At present, Hunan Province is actively developing. Once the conditions are ripe, this natural gas will open up new channels for the province's energy supply.

In the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” of Hunan Province, the focus will be on areas such as Hengshui-Mizong, Zhuzhou Qingshuitang, Quzhou Non-ferrous Mining Concentration Areas, and Loudi Tin Mines, and a group of outdated equipment and companies will be eliminated to realize the industrial structure. advanced optimization.

In terms of consumption, on the one hand, comprehensive use of price, economic, legal and other means to encourage the entire society to save energy, forced elimination of high energy-consuming products and equipment. The Changsha municipal government promotes the use of energy-saving lamps in the city. Each energy-saving lamp is half of the financial subsidy. According to calculations, an energy-saving lamp of 11 watts is equivalent to an incandescent lamp of 55 watts. If calculated on a 5-hour basis, it can save 8 kWh per month. The city uses 200,000 watts of energy-saving lamps, saving more than 19 million kWh per year and saving more than 11 million yuan in electricity costs.

On the other hand, increase the research, development and application of energy-saving products. At present, Hunan Province is making great efforts to develop new energy vehicles.
