The report believes that policies and technologies will jointly drive the transformation of the energy industry, and active energy supply and end-use energy will create a completely different energy future.

Outlook 2014 predicts three energy futures that may emerge in 2050, namely the global warming 6°C scenario, the 4°C scenario, and the 2°C scenario. In the 6°C scenario, the world will develop according to the existing trajectory, which will produce destructive results; the 4°C scenario reflects the willingness of countries to reduce emissions and improve energy efficiency; in the 2°C scenario, energy efficiency is greatly improved, industrial use It can reduce by 25%, the fuel economy of vehicles in the transportation industry will double, and global carbon emissions will be reduced by more than 50%.
