Figure 4 shows the results of the standard life test of the impurity damage test, except for the test medium change, the other test conditions are similar to the test conditions in Figure 2. This test produced only minor impurity damage. Impurity feature analysis is applied to conventional bearing A and is only used to predict the minimum life reduction due to impurities. Under these conditions, bearing A from a manufacturing plant using conventional machining processes has performance equivalent to that of a special anti-impurity process bearing from another manufacturer.
