Diamond Detectors Ltd, a founder of Element Six and an innovative diamond detector and sensor manufacturer for laser detection applications, today announced that BAE Systems will acquire half of its equity through an investment of up to £2 million.
This second round of investment will provide strategic support for Diamond Detectors and open up a potential market for its expanded production.

Currently, the company is committed to the development of custom detector solutions, initially targeting the four major markets of high-energy physics, nuclear detection, dosimetry, and far-infrared detectors.
Diamond has long been recognized as a semiconductor material that detects ultraviolet rays, X-rays, and particles. If you have the capacity to produce diamonds that meet the requirements of advanced probing applications in terms of size, quality and hardness, this will open the door to a potential market for new detectors in all industries.
