On August 23, the Dalian LNG project undertaken by China National Petroleum No. 6 Construction Company completed the laying and welding of No. 2 storage tank aluminum ceiling panels.
In the first phase of the Dalian LNG project, two LNG cryogenic storage tanks were constructed, with a single-seat storage tank capacity of 160,000 cubic meters, which was contracted by the Chinese Emeiqi Engineering Company EPC. Liu Jian was responsible for the installation and construction.
The function of the aluminum suspended ceiling of the storage tank is to hold the cold insulation material of the tank top, and the material is an aluminum-magnesium alloy, which has the characteristics of strong oxidizing property, large tendency of hot cracks, and high difficulty in controlling the overall deformation. In order to ensure welding quality and control of deformation, the relevant departments of the Dalian Project Department of Liujian Co., Ltd. closely cooperated to optimize the manpower and equipment configuration. The technical quality personnel strengthened the monitoring of the welding process and completed the No. 2 storage tank aluminum in less than 20 working days. From the laying of the ceiling plate to the welding task, the welding quality is high and the overall deformation control is good.
