According to media reports, the "13th Five-Year Plan" draft railway plan may include high-speed railways between provincial capitals, and even provincial highways can speed up traffic links by at least 250 kilometers per hour. As a result, the newly planned high-speed rail during the “Thirteenth Five-Year Plan” period may increase by tens of thousands of kilometers.

In this regard, SMM communicated with the domestic railway cable companies and found that companies had expectations for this because cable companies were under pressure due to the slowdown in grid investment growth and the decline in real estate during the year. Orders on the railways do perform well. Local governments have a higher enthusiasm for building new railways. Because of the regional nature of railway construction, cable companies with better qualifications around the country can obtain orders, and thus the competition pressure between enterprises for bidding is relatively small. Therefore, if the news is further implemented in the later period, it can really boost the demand for copper in the domestic cable industry.
