Hazards and substitutions of banned drugs in aquatic products

People and aquatic animals have few symbiotic diseases, and aquatic products are safer than other livestock and poultry foods. In recent years, malachite green and Duobao fish have not been involved in our province, but they have brought shadows to people's consumption of aquatic products. As a large inland aquaculture province, the use of regulated inputs is particularly important. A brief introduction of some common banned drugs is now provided to guide farmers to safely use drugs and reduce the occurrence of breeding diseases.

Malachite green

Malachite green is very effective in preventing and treating water mold, mildew disease and small melon disease of various aquatic animals, but it is poisonous to aquatic organisms because it can dissolve enough zinc in water and soil. Carcinogenic and teratogenic effects, so in May 2002, China listed malachite green as a banned aquaculture drug.

At present, domestic fishery drug manufacturers have introduced some substitutes for malachite green: for insecticides, mebendazole, levamisole, deltamethrin, etc., the first two are mixed with oral administration, and the amount of feed per 5 kg is 2 to 3 g. The latter is sprayed at a concentration of 0.01ppm; for the prevention and control of water mildew, it can be soaked for 5 to 10 minutes with 3% to 5% saline solution, or 2 to 3 grams per m3 of water surface with methylene blue. The proportion of the whole pool is sprinkled; for antibacterial, the whole pool can be splashed with chlorine or bromine.

Chloramphenicol (salts, esters and preparations)

Chloramphenicol has a broad-spectrum antibacterial effect and is effective against most G+ and G-bacteria. It can effectively prevent rotten rot and red skin disease in aquatic products, but the drug is more toxic to humans and can inhibit bone marrow hematopoietic function. Allergic reactions, causing aplastic anemia (including leukopenia, red blood cell reduction, thrombocytopenia, etc.). In addition, the drug can also cause intestinal flora imbalance and inhibition of antibody formation, inhibit liver drug enzymes, affect the metabolism of other drugs in the liver, so that the drug effect is prolonged, or the toxicity is enhanced, which has been banned by many countries.

The topical spill can be replaced by a bromine preparation or a chlorine preparation, and the internal administration can be replaced by a compound sulfonamide, thiamphenicol, florfenicol or the like.

Erythromycin, tylosin

Erythromycin and tylosin are relatively sensitive to Aeromonas hydrophila and are therefore commonly used to treat bacterial rotten rickets in aquatic animals. However, aquatic animals have a lot of residual bacteria in their bodies after eating such drugs. At the same time, a large number of drug-resistant bacteria are produced. People often eat a large amount of drug-resistant bacteria in the body after eating fish containing a large amount of residual drug.

Oral administration can be replaced by florfenicol or thiamphenicol.
