CNOOC sets national standards for liquefied natural gas operators

Recently, China National Offshore Oil Corporation was the first national professional standard approved by the state for the development of a new occupation—LNG operators. It passed the final review of the experts, which will provide training and professional skills for China’s LNG operations skills personnel. Identification provides the basis.

According to reports, the occupation of liquefied natural gas operators is reported by the Fujian LNG Company of the Gas Power Group, and is responsible for the development of standards, teaching materials, and question banks. This work has received strong support from the relevant companies such as the head office, gas power group and the CNOOC occupational skills appraisal guidance center.

Experts from the National Ministry of Human Resources and the Ministry of Health, CNOOC, PetroChina, and Sinopec have formulated the five principles of holistic, hierarchical, normative, applicability, and operability in accordance with national occupational standards. Operators’ national professional standards were carefully reviewed.

The expert group believes that the occupational profile of the professional standards meets the requirements of career development, and the occupational levels are reasonably divided; the basic requirements cover knowledge in an all-round way and satisfy the needs of professional knowledge in the profession; the division of occupational functions is scientific and fully reflects the job characteristics of the profession. The experts unanimously passed the standard text of the profession and agreed to submit it to the National Human Resources and Labor Department for promulgation and implementation.
