Photovoltaic module salt spray corrosion test (GB/T 18912-2002)

1 Scope and purpose

The purpose of this experiment was to determine the ability of the component to resist salt spray corrosion.

This experiment was used to evaluate the material's suitability and the quality and uniformity of the protective layer.

3 Initial measurement

--Visual inspection.

- Test IV characteristics under standard test conditions (STC) (according to GB/T 6495.1-1996).

- Insulation tests according to relevant standards.

4 procedures

Test according to GB/T 2421-1999 and IEC 60068-2-11:1981, test Ka, shall meet the following requirements:

- Pretreatment: Not required.

- Condition: Sample position: The inclination of the top surface of the module and the vertical direction should be 15° to 30°.

- Test duration: 96h.

5 last measurement

- visual inspection before and after cleaning and drying of components.

——Test IV characteristics according to GB/T 6495.1-1996 under standard test conditions (STC) after cleaning and drying of components.

- Insulation tests according to relevant standards.

6 requirements

——No mechanical damage or corrosion that seriously affects the normal working performance of the module.

- The reduction in electrical performance (maximum power) should not exceed 5% of the initial value.

- Should meet the insulation test requirements.
