EPIC has introduced a lithium battery fuel gauge chip. The EG2801 accurately reads battery voltage, current, temperature and other information, and performs Coulomb measurement through accurate integration and calculation. The EG2801 also provides a set of I2C interfaces to communicate with the host system and is widely used in portable devices.
Key features include I2C interface, voltage/current precision of 1%, Time Base precision of 1.5%, temperature measurement, and DFN-12 (2.5*4mm) package.
