In the inductive access control attendance system, the card reader continuously emits an electromagnetic field (excitation signal) through its internal coil. When a proximity card is placed in the card reader's card reading range, the coil in the card generates a weak current under the excitation signal. As a power source for a small integrated circuit in the card, the integrated circuit in the card is stored and manufactured. The unique number identification number (ID) entered at that time, which is transmitted from the card to the card reader via a demodulated signal. The card reader transmits the wireless signal back to the controller, which is processed, error-detected and converted into a digital signal by the controller, and then sends the digital identification number (ID) to the microprocessor for decision making. The inductive technology or radio frequency identification technology used in the system is a method of reading the information on the card without direct contact between the card and the card reading device. With an inductive card reader, there is no longer any wear on the card and card reader due to contact friction.
